El libro-homenaje al gran puntero. Es una investigación de tipo biográfica, en la que dan su testimonio el propio “Loco” y muchas personas a él allegadas (ex compañeros, familiares, etc). No es una obra condescendiente sino que refleja en forma descarnada tanto sus momentos de gloria como aquellos en los que cayó más bajo, y el alcohol casi lo lleva a la muerte. Pero no se lo juzga (como tanta gente lo hizo) sino que se cuenta en forma novelada su vida increíblemente excitante y llena de vaivenes, para que el lector pueda extraer su propio punto de vista. De lo que no quedarán dudas es que René es uno de los personajes más atrapantes que dio el mundo del fútbol. El libro tiene un insert de 16 páginas de fotos b/n, muchas de ellas inéditas. Homage book to the great player. It is a kind of biographical investigation in which the “Loco” himself and many other persons well known to him describe their testimonies (former fellows, relatives, etc.). It is not an easy going work, it reflects his moments of glory and those moments when he fell down and alcohol almost brings him to death. But he is not judged (as many people did), his life is told in a way of novel, exciting and full of fluctuations so that the reader may make up his/her mind from his/her own point of view. What is unquestionable is that René is one of the most trapping characters given by the world of football. The book has an insert of 16 pages of black and white photographs, many of them unpublished.
